Free Resource: Database assessment form

As part of Salanga’s work in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), we help organizations design data management plans and assess and analyze different database solutions for their MEL systems.

Though we have our own MEL software (Kinaki), we believe it’s important for every organization to go through the process of assessing and reviewing different software solutions available to find the one most appropriate for their organizations’ needs.

We recently conducted a webinar with our partner Shanti Uganda. In the webinar, we share the key steps we took to set-up a monitoring and evaluation system for a maternal child health program in Uganda. This process included assessing the database system that would be best for their program. We see this webinar as a start-up guide for designing a data management plan and selecting software for monitoring and evaluation for non-profits
