In October 2015, Salanga’s team of experts coordinated the ninth annual Safety & Security Stress Training for students of VOŠ Caritas College of Social Work in Olomouc, Czech Republic. This training focused on the security of humanitarian and social workers during their overseas missions. The training was very intense and exhausting for both students participating in highly challenging stress situations as well as for the organizers, who needed to consistently and carefully address extremely sensitive material while conducting discussions and activities related to this topic.
Throughout the stress training, participants were involved in outdoor stress-inducing simulations that may occur during their stay abroad. These specifically arranged simulations gave them a unique opportunity to explore their own physical and psychological capabilities, to assess their skills when presented with risky and dangerous situations under stress and to learn about their limitations, both as individuals as well as team members.
This unique training is prepared by the Salanga team in collaboration with numerous experts from different fields who are all connected to the topic of safety & security.
