Food security is one of the WE charity’s ‘5 Pillars’ of sustainable development, made possible by Free the Children’s partner POTASH Corp. This pillar focuses on innovative farming techniques and includes water management projects to help ensure developing communities have access to healthy, self-sustaining food sources. This directly impacts a community’s health, access to education and life outcomes. Projects of this nature by Free the Children (FTC) Canada have now been implemented in Kenya, China and India.
We work with the Free the Children team in Canada, and in each implementing country, to prepare baseline surveys through mobile data collection and other technologies for ongoing monitoring. Salanga is also engaged with FTC in streamlining the monitoring and evaluation of all their international development projects.
